About Graywood:

At Graywood, we are more than just a woodworking business – we are a testament to heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation.

My name is Eric Gray, and I founded Graywood with a vision inspired by the legacy of my family's farm in Eastern Kansas, lovingly known as Graywood Farm. As a resident of Portland, Maine, I am deeply committed to bringing the artistry of large format CNC milling services to our vibrant community, supporting local designers, craftsmen, and business owners alike.

My journey to bring CNC services to Maine begins with a passion for design and craftsmanship, cultivated during my studies in Industrial Design at SFSU in San Francisco and further honed through professional works including the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero. I earned my MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. These experiences shape Graywood, driving our commitment to excellence in every project we undertake.

In addition to offering top-tier CNC milling services, we take pride in designing our own line of custom furniture and precision woodworking. I reside in Portland, Maine with my wife and daughter, cherishing the sense of community and natural beauty that surrounds us.

At Graywood, our values are at the core of everything we do. Sustainability, collaboration, quality, and craftsmanship guide our approach, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and passion. We strive to foster lasting partnerships with our clients, providing personalized attention and innovative solutions to bring their visions to life.
